What to expect in our Church Services?

Whether you're looking for a moment of reflection, a sense of community, or a deeper spiritual connection, you'll find a place where you belong.

Holy Communion

In our Benefice, Holy Communion is the heart of our worship. From the very beginnings of the Christian faith, believers have gathered to share in the sacred meal of bread and wine, as Jesus himself taught us. This act symbolises our deep connection with God and with one another. We follow the order of Common Worship. All are invited to partake in Communion, and those who prefer not to receive are warmly offered a prayer of blessing. You are encouraged to join in the way that feels most comfortable and meaningful to you, without any pressure.

Benefice All Age Communion

Offers an informal and flexible approach, engaging for all ages. We listen to God’s word—whether through Bible readings, dramatic presentations, or storytelling. We take time for reflection and inter-generational conversations and respond by sharing Communion.

The Encounter @ 6

Is a monthly contemporary service including time of worship and prayer and teaching that will equip you and grow deep roots of faith.

Soul Space

This is an hour of reflection and meditation, offering a chance to find peace, stillness, and refreshment, and simply to spend time with your God. The service is shaped by various traditions, including Taizé and Iona, creating a space for quiet contemplation. Sometimes, we just read a poem, play music and ‘breath'.  At times, we also connect with God through the beauty of nature.

Seek & Wonder

Each session begins with a welcoming activity and some music, and continues with a story and craft activities, followed by a short time of prayer and light refreshments. We have a wide range of art and messy resources for the children (and those who accompany them!) to enjoy as they respond to the theme of each session: paints, collage materials, modelling etc.

Morning/ Wednesday Worship

A simply structured lay-led service of worship including hymns, bible reflection and prayer.

** On Sundays, we gather for a time of praise and worship 15 minutes before the Holy Communion service begins. It’s a special moment for us to prepare our hearts through songs, as we come together in communion.
